    TOKYO GHOST

    Here’s an absolutely gorgeous dream-pop cut titled “Tokyo Ghost” from Philippines’ Maze Mountain (a.k.a. Idris Vicuña). The track shines with a dreamy ’80s veneer and synth pulse, showing pure quality at face value but underlying it all is a drowsily somber yearning and it’s enough to intrigue us. Perhaps it’s the slow and sticky beats that hit hard or the ghostly synths floating around in the background that add a dark and mysterious edge. Hey, we won’t overthink think it. Whatever it is, it’s working. Grab it over at Soundcloud or Bandcamp.
